There are 3 ways to embed videos found on alluc, all of them are designed to embed the video you'd like to embed even if the embedded video link may differ.
This makes it much more comfortable for webmasters as you won't have to worry about broken links! If a link dies, allucs embedcode will automatically point to a working one for the keyword you selected to embed a video for.
The Embed Widget
With the alluc embed widget you can embed a video related to any keyword on your website. For example if you'd like to embed big buck bunny simply enter "big buck bunny" into our embed creator in order to create the embed code. All of allucs search operators work when creating your embed code. For example "big buck bunny host:youtube.com" will only embed videos found on youtube and "big buck bunny #newlinks" will always embed the newest link.
<iframe src="http://www.alluc.com/embed/big+buck+bunny+host%3Ayoutube.com?width=1046&height=562" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" scrolling="NO" frameborder="0" height="562" width="1046" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>
The above code will always embed a working youtube link for "big buck bunny", even if the current youtube link displayed in it may die in the future.
Direct URL Embeds
With the direct URL embed widget you can embed any video hosted on one of the hundreds of video hosters supported by alluc even if the videos url is currently not indexed by alluc. This comes in handy for webmasters who'd like to automatically embed hundreds of videos hosted on different hosters without going through the hassle of implementing and maintaining embed-support for all video hosters on their blog, website or CMS. For example if you'd like to embed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRGndldqxlQ simply enter the url into the embed creator in order to create an example embed code.
<iframe src="//www.alluc.com/embed/?width=1046&height=562&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DBRGndldqxlQ" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" scrolling="NO" frameborder="0" height="562" width="1046" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>
To automate this, simply pass the GET parameters "width", "height" and "url" (urlencode this!) to www.alluc.com/embed/.
Embedding via alluc-ID
With direct alluc video embeds you can choose to embed a specific video you found on alluc. However if it dies in the future, alluc will still attempt to embed a working alternative.
Example: On http://www.alluc.com/l/Big-Buck-Bunny/thuieff you will see the link "Get Embedcode" below the video which will give you this code:
<iframe src="//www.alluc.com/embed/id%3Athuieff?width=1046&height=562&alt=Big+Buck+Bunny" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" scrolling="NO" frameborder="0" height="562" width="1046" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>
If you embed this on your blog or website it will embed that specific youtube link onto your site: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YE7VzlLtp-4 But if http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YE7VzlLtp-4 ever goes offline for any reason, the embed-code will still attempt to display a viable alternative.
The success-rate for finding alternative videos depends on whether other videos with the same or similar title exist. You can impove it for your usecase by changing the "alt" parameter passed to your embed if you think the automatically added alternative search-string won't get good results.
